What does your blood say about your health of tomorrow?

With Prof. Dr. Eline Slagboom and doctor & lifestyle doctor Chantalle Burgers.

Thursday 29 October 2026  |  19:30–20:30 (CET)  |  Online  |  In Dutch

Please note: this webinar is held in Dutch.

We know more and more about what it takes to live healthily. But how do you actually know how your body is doing?

Why does one person stay healthy into old age, while another develops diabetes or cardiovascular disease much earlier? And can we see changes in our body before we experience any complaints?

Biomarkers give more and more insight into the processes taking place in our body. But perhaps the most important question is:

What good is that information to you?

During this webinar, Prof. Dr. Eline Slagboom, Professor of Molecular Epidemiology at the LUMC, and Chantalle Burgers, doctor, lifestyle doctor and Medical Director of Vitahealth, take you from science to practice.

From science to practice

Measure. Understand. Act.

With a finger-prick at home, we can now measure more than 100 biomarkers in the blood that give insight into various processes linked to our health.

But measuring more does not automatically mean knowing more.

The value arises when you understand what that information means, what you can and cannot conclude from it, and what you can then do with those insights.

That is exactly what this webinar is about.

Programme

What can you expect?

Eline and Chantalle will take you through:

And of course we also discuss the limits: what can biomarkers tell us, and what can they not?

There will be time to ask questions during the webinar.
